....This is a time for all Americans to stand united against those forces in the world who disregard the value of human life and would attempt to threaten the values and the principles in which we believe. Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences go out to all those people whose lives have been changed by this cowardly attack on the innocent and the freedoms of people everywhere.

....We know that America and its many allies will persevere, and that all the people in and outside of the U.S. will not give in to terror and will do their part to keep the American and global economies working.
